Unit 020 T72M2S does not exist. The idea of upgrading finnish T-72s with thermal imagers and fire-control was dropped, when Leo 2A4s were purchased.

Unit 149 NH90 TTH isnīt available even now in 2007, due to several delays in production and faults in design.

Units 457, 458, 459 F-18 Hornet have no air-to-ground role in finnish army, so there should be no Hornets with A-G weapons, at least until 2007 as new roles for Hornets are now considered in the FDF, especially for joint-European battlegroup operations.

Good points pdoktar. I agree with you. And what comes to A-G missiles of Hornets, I recently read somewhere that USA refused to sell A-G missiles to Finland because "bad relations" between USA and Finland;)... This is result of our stupid "anti-USA" government (at least part of it) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/fear.gif... Hopefully this happens sometimes in future anyway?

Maybe just Hornets with dumb bombs so far? There's similar (well, similar, much harder) problem with our Gripens as our enlightened top brass doesn't want it to get stained with mud of ground support so only the air-to-air part of the software package is installed, but I think should the need arise, it'd be able to serve atlast as ironbomb carrier http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Well stupid anti-USA government or not, those munitions finns wanted, have only been sold to Australia and are very state-of-the-art equipment, so I took no offense personally. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

And yes, maybe the hornet could be used as a dumb bomb carrier (as our trainee-Hawks) and strafing with itīs mighty 20mm, but no mavericks or LGB or anything fancy, that could give them some reason for switcing to A-G.

pdoktar, try out the new FinOOB found at this forum. I tried to put it as close as possible with public sources...
