Hi, just recently bought the game, and I have already come across a couple of issues.

Firstly, the name of your home planet is Glory right? Because I have played several missions where it referred to it as Hope, and I think I came across it several times on the highscores.

Second, I have a machine, which although it fits within the spec's, runs slower than molasses, making the game completely unplayable http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif.

Ok, now, questions.
Firstly, is there any game guides or anything which tells me what various items do? specifically the special items, like the wish giving one, or the one that when used puts my ship to sleep.

Glory is the star that the planet Hope orbits.

What's your operating system and machine specs? There are issues with incomplete video card drivers on Windows Vista at the moment that result in extremely poor performance.

Discovering what items do by yourself is part of the game...

The specs are winxp, 64mb graphics card, plenty of hdd space, and I can't recall the exact specs of the cpu and the ram, but when I check when I had access to that computer, it exceeded the required amount in the specs.

Oh, and I'm well aware that discovering all the different things in the game is something I'm supposed to discover myself, but how exactly am I supposed to guess what all the things are that the assassin has in his storeroom?

You're mostly safe if you only ask for things you know the names of. Some won't be in because they're one-per-map items (the HyperDrive is like this), but there's no way of knowing at the time you make the wish.

Hit "start" , "run .." , type in "dxdiag" , let it run til it stops.
Use the middle button on the right "save all information", chose to save as .TXT file.
Viola - all the information one needs ..

You might post some or the whole file here ...
