This problem has me stumped mainly because I've come up with several solutions for it. Of course only one (if any) is correct. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
I am playing a user made map. One of the sites that I found states that it enables recruitment of enchantress. However there are none there. Neither in that province nor my home one. Would this be because
1. of an error in the map itself?
2. I need to do something? build a temple or cast some spell.
3. the nation I chose can't recruit them? MA T'ien Ch'i
4. other?
TIA

In the province where you found that site, if you press the recruitment button, you should see a greyed out (and thus unrecruitable) enchantress. Holding your mouse over that image you will see what you need to be able to recruit her. If the case of an enchantress this will be a lab. In other cases you might need a temple, or both a lab and a temple.

There is no enchantress there greyed out or otherwise. I will build a lab and see it that gives me the option. Thanks

That worked. Once the lab was built she showed up. She was not there before though. There was and is a greyed out priest that the mouse over said I needed a temple to recruit him but no enchantress before the lab was built. At least it it happens again I know to start building.
Thanks for your time.

Weird, to the best of my knowledge the image should have been there. No idea why it wasn't the case for you. Anyway, glad I could help.

I just restored back to before I built the lab and she was there. But she was not greyed out but rather blacked out. If the cursor was on her you could just make her out. I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for the info popping up at the bottom about needing a lab. Well they say a gamer's eyes go first.

Wait until I tell the wife that less TB and more action will save my sight. Although I think she said that less PC and more action will save the relationship. hummm.

The color choices on "greyed out" are very dark. I often find it hard to see the units there on a Windows machine with an nvidia card.

maybe that is it I do have a nvidia card. I just noticed that the deep water provinces look like one big black area. I am not by them yet but I will probably have to use the filters to figure them out.

Many units and magic items are almost indecipherable with the new Dom 3 interface. Darker items and units virtually disappear into the dark brown background color. I waste a lot of time searching for things that do not show up well.
It was much easier to see things clearly with the old Dominions II interface, when the background was light.
What were they thinking with this new dark background and the harder to read white fonts? I wish there were a way of going back to old interface.

Browse this thread (http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=d3smm&Number=453491&page=4 &view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1) for a variety of alternative backgrounds that you can use. If you have the Dom2 backgrounds, it is easy enough to replace the new ones with the old as well.

Thanks Ballbarian for the link. And big thanks to pheasantplucker for creating the mod.
Boy I came here looking for an answer and am going home with an answer and a cure.
