Can we install WinSPWW2 on a USB stick and play it on any box?
Or does WinSPWW2 want to live on a host box?
It would be cool if this were possible there are a lot of portable apps out now. I could grab my SPWW2 USB flash drive and grab my work Laptop and off on a plane....

Try it and let us know. I haven't tried and as far as I know no one has reported trying to.

Hi,
it works. However I havenīt it installed on the stick, but simply copied the respective folders (MBT and WW2) to the stick.
Works under VISTA if you just doubleclick on the *gameoptions.exe.
Stick is a extremeMEmory 2GB, but I donīt think that does matter. Switched between my desktop and notebook. No problems here.
cheers

Thanks DesertFox, going to grab my install disk and let you all now if I can a) just install it to the stick drive or b) do as TheDesertFox has done and copy it.
Will report back on it.

I've just tested both WWII and MBT on a 1GB stick drive plus I ran it on an IMAC with a windows emulation program. The only thing that you had to do was run it in a window slightly smaller than the screen size.

dwmalesevich,
Thanks. I still need to install it on a free stick.

Well back from a business trip.
Although I did not install on the USB I did just a copy and it worked seamlessly!
Next month or so I will try to run the installer on it and see.
Company Laptops are great for checking email, working on projects, setting your work schedule, and USBing with WinSPWW2!!!
