I'm looking for 2-3 players willing to take up the gauntlet as the Italians in a couple of Pbem's for my Operation Compass Combat Campaign. Your mission is to deal as much damage as you can to the British forces advancing on Sidi Sueicher.

Games will be 20 turns long and only involve a company or so of troops. No experience necessary, only a desire to replace the AI in my campaign and provide the British commanders with a bit more of a challenge.

Battles should be ready within a week or so at most.

Volunteers also get priority for assignments in future player vs player Combat Campaigns. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

You can read more about the campaign by going here --> Operation Compass Combat Campaign (http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=wspww2&Number=487633&page= 0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=all)

Thanks for volunteering.

Just to follow up, as soon as all 4 British commanders have posted their movement orders, I'll start generating the encounters and any resulting briefing/Pbem files.

I'm building the scenario file now. Once its done I'll get your you opponent's email address and a small brief on your mission/objective.

Basically you are to secure a narrow pass for parts of the 10th Italian Army to pass though in their attempt to escape south from Benghazi. The British mission is to open it up for their forces coming in from the East who are heading toward the coast.

Hi MkV1b, If you are interested I may have an opening for an ongoing battle. You would be taking up the battle for another player PatG who may have had RL intervene.

If interested let me know and I'll get you more information.

I will be soliciting another group for the next round of fighting so that others get a chance to jump in. It might be about 30 days or so before I need them but I'll post here when more information is available.

Thanks for the 'heads up'

I have just received MBT in the post from Shrapnel...another week-end being an absent husband.

Hi DoubleDeuce and everyone else,

I've played several WinMBT PBEMs so far but recently I switched to WW2 a bit, playing a desert campaign at the moment - if you still need players, I'll volunteer any time.

Cheers,

Shan

Just installed SPWW2 once again and started to meddle in the OOB's, though I have one copy installed in a "clean" form... Not much of a tactician, but maybe I can do better than RL Italian officers if you still need some cannon fodder http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
