The automatic device for a gun in tanks
Please, explain, how in WinSPMBT the automatic device for a gun is shown on tanks.
For example, "Leclerc" ROF = 8, Russian tanks ROF = 7, American, German tanks ROF = 6 (manually prepare for a gun for a shot).
Probably, there should be a greater difference in quantity of made shots ? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

The difference on the scale of SP is not noticable.
One other difference between automatic loaders and manual loaders is the size of the crew.

But in fact there is parameter ROF !
Still there are many various adjustments of the weapon in Mobchack and not only in it, probably. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
Why at French "Leclerc" ROF = 8, probably there the similar automatic device.

Epoletov, we have already dealt with this several times in the past. As I remember it the issue is that for the game code the ROF parameter is really important only for artillery units. For the other units having 6 instead of 7 makes almost no difference at all. This because in this case crew training and such parameters have a greater importance. The ability of the crew to operate the controls, lock on targets etc would be a bigger limitation to actual ROF that the sheer number of rounds that can be technically loaded and fired, at least in many circumstances. So I would not say that such approach is illogical.
We also dealt with autoloaders. There is wide gap in speed between the autoloader of the Leclerc and that of the basic T-72, with the T-80 and T-90 being in between. In some circumstances the basic T-72 can be considerably slower than a trained human loader, with reloading times well in excess of ten seconds. As I recall it gets 7 only to compensate some code quirk related to three men crews.

In fact the ROF is totally useless unless you use your tank as artillerie. This can happen sometimes: US and French troops did it during fight in France, when engaged in moutain+woods in 1944: shermans where not able to follow the infantery.
The value that gives your in-game max rof is the experience of the crew... I'm not even sure that the ROF is a limit, btw a M1A2, with ROF of 5 can fire more than 5 rounds a turn, provided he has enough experience and is not suppressed.
