I have destroyed all enemy vehicles, but still the mission does not end? Any idea why?

Uh oh.

If you save your game and then exit the scenario, you will be asked to "view results." Select "Yes" and, at the top of the results window, the victory conditions will be listed. Just below them will be your progress in achieving them. From this, you should be able to identify what you still have to do.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Enjoy the demo!

The only thing I can think of is that I have been too successful at meeting condition three?
I just tried again - this time meeting it to the letter. But the game still will not end? (see new save game)

Can you highlight the victory conditions and your progress, right-click on it to copy it, and paste it into a post? Or, alternately, could you take a screenshot and paste it in? I really can't help without seeing this page or seeing what it says.

You could also, while the page is being displayed, go to the savegame folder, copy the result.htm file and send it in an e-mail to:

pproctor@prosimco.com

I am sorry for the confusion. I would really like to help you figure it out.

Uh oh.

Looks like you have found a bug. Thanks for sticking with it to send a screen shot, etc. We are working on the problem now.

Could you send some info about your systen to the following address:

techsupport@prosimco.com

Particularly, we are interested in what version of Windows you are using and what timezone your computer is set for. Any other info you can give us, like programs also running on your computer, would be helpful, too.

Thanks for your patience. Sorry for the problems.

I have two computers; desk top and lap top. Problem shows up on both.
On both I run AVG anti virus and anti spyware; ZoneAlarm firewall.
DXDiag for desk top included.

And for lap top (primary ProSim machine).
Let me know if you need more infos.

Here, try tunzipping this attachment to your "Data" folder in your RT Demo install. I removed a win condition that I believe was causing the problem...

Let me know if this does or doesn't work!

Hi Curt! It works just fine now - finally I get to win properly :-)
I have one other thing regarding "Beach party". In the enclosed save game one of my helicopters will open fire on an enemy civilian/refugee team!?

This is correct - they are considered "enemy". You must give the "Hold Fire" command once they are identified. I could have just made them "allied", but what's the fun in that? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

Think of it as an ROE challenge. You know they are out there, but you don't know that they are "non-combatants" until you get eyes on them and verify - until then, all are hostile!

Well, Curt - it is nice to see the ROE "problem" adressed in a game - it happens so seldom. But then again - I see the ProSim series more as sim than game :-)
I have just tried running the save game again (" firing on civilians") and my helicopters will fire only on the refugees from the other side! So they can clearly distinguish between "them" and "us" - but not between combatants and none combatants?!? This doesn't make sense to me.

You are in North Korea...do you think they should be considered "friendly?

Curt - I have served with the Danish army in both the Balkans and in Afghanistan last year. I do know how it is to be where the locals don't like your presence.
I don't want to start a long debate over present say warfare; however one just does not fire on civilians unless they are action very hostile. Doing that would be a violation of international law!
As stated earlier I see this as a sim rather than a game - therefore the ROE should be in accordance with international law!?
If I had told the unit to suppress or support by fire then OK; but in normal fire mode you shoot at hostile targets (=people pointing guns at you)only - at least in my world???

Shorty,

Could you send a saved game showing the behavior to

techsupport@prosimco.com

I will take a look at it myself. Sorry, again, for the problems.

There's no need - the enemy non-combatants are red units. I can easily change them to either friendly or allied.

Anyone who owns either RT, TSATC, TFW, or AATF could change them as well.

It's not really worth changing the demo.

Did you get my return e-mail?

I am getting yours. It appears you are not getting mine.

Patrick, could you please try again and send me two identical mails; from your normal and your yahoo addresses?
Are there any attachments - I can't receive files larger than 2 MB. From your postings on this forum I take it that is not the case!

No attachments. I will try again.

Got the one from your yahoo account. I'll grab my provider by the ba... and make them find out what the hell is wrong. They said my Outlook Express was configured too sensitive - probably after a windows update?!?
As the attached file shows my system considers it a spam-mail; but lets it pass?
