Number three is powerful. The 8th eye of a spider who lost one of his originals (8th working one, 9th in total) is just an eye. The THIRD eye of the same spider could be something special.

Yes it is very funny and all but "the third eye" should, of course, not be taken literally, as it is much like the "sixth sense".

I don't understand the confusion, the description SAYS he's got a 3rd eye painted on his shield... he just, um, paints better than most I guess )

Well they do always claim that born-blind people have almost an uncanny ability in that area.
But it looks like it just made his precision go up to average.
Funny post though. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

It is funny. But the third eye is more psychic or spiritual than literal. If his fame continues, he'll get higher and higher precision and magic resistance.

It's not ironic at all. Are you trying to say that people who are blind have no eyes ? I'd like to see a proof of that. If I remember story correctly, these Agarthans are humans who descended beneath the surface, and their sight weakened from lack of use. So they still have eyes.

That specific Agarthan unit is actually supposed to have such abilities, if not to the heroic degree (see description in screenshot). So it's actually highly appropriate, even though it's a random event here, which is sort of ironic in itself (that the RNG gave out a thematically appropriate heroic ability).

This third eye seems quite suitable to me... As said; Agarthans don't lack eyes but sight.
What boggles me more is my philosopher's feeble-mindedness (is that written correctly?) and his research ability of 7... ><

If you look at the screenshot, you can actually see that his helmet fully wraps around his head. Unless he has the eye in his left hand, it won't help him much. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

Since the third eye is not physical but psychic or spiritual, yes it will. It also doesn't say where the third eye is. In some traditions it is (at least symbolically) in the middle of the forehead, but this character has one painted on his shield. Maybe the eye one the shield has gained dweomer-like powers and is giving this ability.
