I have always thought that Bogus's takeover was an unique event. Well,
it turns out that once he has been kicked out of a province, he can
return to another one.

In any case, I ended up with the Precious and it seems that, in addition
to (strength + 4) and (attack + 4) it has additional properties. For
starters, it seems to dispel illusions on the wearer.

Does anyone know what else it does?

There was demand for having an option where new events could be modded into the game, yet it didn't make it into DOM_3. Hopefully DOM_4 will allow editing and adding events.

I'm not sure... and I was also wondering about the greenstone armor since the high encumbrance and heavy decrease for defense limit its uses.

Speaking of Bogus....
That was the Illwinter companies original name.
That group is a representation of Kristoffer and Johans tabletop gaming group (DnD I think)

Does Precious or The Greenstone Armor disappear from your iventory when bogus reappears? As with the Admiral's Sword or other unique items?

I don't think so, but on the other hand I didn't think the admirals sword did either http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Does the greenstone armor or precious have any special abilities? Otherwise the greenstone armor doesn't seem very special compared with other forged armors.

Bogus found his green stone armor on an undead troll weak enough to be defeted by Bogus. It was never confirmed that it was enchanted at all. He was quite satisfied with the armor though, but a bit worried that he could not sleep in it. Perhaps it should increase MR vs sleep spells http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Precious was bought from an old and wizened reptilian alchemist and trader of enchanted paraphernalia. It did cost the greater part of Bogus' collected gold stash, but it turned out not to be very powerful either. Still it was precious to him.

BTW, you are not supposed to take Bogus' things from him. Especially if you think that you can make better stuff for yourself.

Haha, I take it Bogus was your character? Ridiculous old DnD stories...good times.

DnD characters never die. They just get imported/converted into new games.
Mine show up in just about every game I play where I have any ability to personalize my character.

In a recent singleplayer game, I was able to get doubles of Precious after kicking him out of two provinces.

Sounds like someone had a strong misfortune scale! heh.

Bogus appeared the turn after I slaughtered his band in the province adjacent to the one I killed him in, in an enemy AI territory http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Earth Dawn actually. And JK's character. Earth Dawn is a nice and fun game. You might find several references to ED in Dominions if you are observant, horrors being the most obvious one.

Powers and Perils is another old and good game that has inspired me through the development of dominions. I'm rather fond of the religious touch to magic in that game.
