neutral temples

I've seen a few of these after the patch.
Independents with a temple in the province.
Bug or what is this?

They get them via random events. Indys do get random events, that is why you sometimes see indy provinces with odd groupings of defenders like knights and barbarians. that province got the Barbarians pillage event.

Some of the maps and map generators put them in also.

I just wondered about that. I see an indy province with a temple in it and one province which was taken over by barbarians from me last turn has tripled the number of its barbarians to a smacking 125 now. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/redface.gif
