On turn one of a game i am hosting, with the aid of Llamabeasts' PBEM server, I got a message that one of the players cheated. I guess it is possible for someone to alter their turn file they received.
What is typically done in these situations?

Nothing, because those messages tend to pop up from time to time on themself. If you're the host, you may want to take a look with the master password and see that no such cheating has taken place.

Yes, it happens alot when the host updates the server with a new patch. When the cheat message is triggered its accepted by the majority that the host can use the master password to check out the position to make sure there is no cheating. If at all possible get someone who is trustworthy and not playing in the game to look. Another frequent hoster or perhaps Gandalf might do it for example.

Xieter, in the game that we are talking about, could Man have not accidently created their pretender using the CB mod?
