Looking at OOB's #12 (US Army) Weapon #216 and OOB #13 (USMC) Weapon #125 the 40mm Mk 47 GL is given a range of 76 (3800m).
I'm a tad confused.
It uses the same ammo as the Mk 19 and Mk 19B which have a range of 40 (2000m).
None of the info I've been able to find on the internet mention the effective or max range of the system.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Also, note that the NDIA briefing from 2006 lists the capable set ranges of the new programmable airburst Mk 285 Mod 0 round as 100-1800 meters.
