This bug is driving me crazy! Are there any clues on what is causing this so that you could somehow avoid it until it is properly fixed? Or is it just random and unavoidable?

Dang, this is a real fun killer...

It seems that sometime I get it all the time no matter how many times I restart; sometime I never get it. Weird and annoying.

Sorry guys I know it is on the bug list, but I just had to vent. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Are you talking about the no space left on battlefield bug?

My understanding is that it's fixed in 3.08 but I haven't fought any battles that would trigger it so I don't know.

The trigger is a fortress battle with too many troops. Cancel any "storm castle" orders and replay the turn. If that fixes it then you need to reduce the number of troops in the province before attacking the castle.

Conceivably the AI could trigger the same thing but I've never seen it happen.

No, but that was a nasty bug as well. It is nice that they've fixed it.

I'm talking about the bug that flips your dominion scales at your capital wildly. It is extremely annoying when playing MP as it usually takes a few precious turns to get them right again. The effect is that you lose hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of gold and resources, meaning that you'll probably lose the game sooner or later.

Yes it is hateful and I been a victim to it far too many times. Makes you hesitate if you really want to put all that work and energy into carefully designing a pretender and strategy just to be clobbered by the bug once the MP game is started.

It seems to happen to me most when I have a water nation.

It's been reported as high priority and may be connected to one of the dominion bugs. You can rest assured that t has been brought up. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next patch.

I don't know if this will help anyone, of if it is even accurate, but I saw an interesting trend with the scales bug recently.

I was playing several SP games with my Perpetuality game pretender (LA Pangaea), to practice for the real game. In the first three games, I always got the Pan National Hero that has blood magic. Every time I blood hunted in my capitol, I got the scales bug for the rest of the game. My dominion would drop to zero if I didn't keep my prophet in there preaching.

In the last game, I didn't get that particular Hero, and so never blood hunted. The scales bug never hit, even way into late game. Could be coincidence.

Do you have one of those games saved somewhere?

Yes, I believe I have one of each still saved. I'll send them to you (or straight to the devs?)
