I've decided it might be a good idea to host another game for new/newish players (this is an overspill from Chinchilla in fact, since that filled up really fast).
I'm thinking around 10 players or so (we'll see how many we get, anything over 4 is good fun), and a not-too-large map - maybe around 15 provinces each. In my experience this is plenty big enough for lots of interesting things to happen, but not so big that it can get overwhelming. We can sort out details when we see how many players we've got.
Oh, it'll be an MA game.
It's up to you to decide if you're "newish" enough. If you've played only a few MP games, I reckon that's good enough. SP games don't count I think - it's a surprisingly different skill.
Please post here and choose a nation if you'd like to play.
So far we have:
Bandar Log - Torquemada
Man - J Henry Waugh
Abysia - Memento
Marignon - Dallan_Invictus
Atlantis - Chantillary_of_Kerisdale
R'lyeh - Aristander
Shinuyama - Shuma
Agartha - LazyPerfectionist
Jotunheim - Yucky
C'tis - Schaedelbaron
Pangaea - Atreides
Vanheim - Remmy
Pythium - CelestialGoblyn
Ulm - Graywind

I will play and claim "Man"…
Memento
June 25th, 2007, 04:05 PM
mmm I'd like to take Abysia, if you dont mind
and, it is my first experience in playing MP games - so I'm very, VERY "newish" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
please tell something about mods and other settings - I would prefer to play vanilla

Dallan_Invictus

If ER doesn't get rid of that question mark and claim Eriu, I'd like to take it. Otherwise...Man's taken and I didn't notice, oops. Arco?

Great, I've added you all to the list.
Hmm, I had considered chupacabra, but it's a bit sinister for my liking. I kind of like cuddly South American mammals. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
(For those of you who haven't noticed, I'm going with a South American mammal theme for my game names).

Actually, I'll let ER have Eriu, and try Marignon this game. They look...intriguing.

Based on the recommendation of my RL friend, Dallan_Invictus, I'd like to get into this game.

Good stuff guys, I'll add you to the list. Chantillary, Dallan's giving you good advice!
Now, we have a choice of maps. Obvious choices are Parganos (8-9 players), or Cradle of Dominion (12-14 players). Pros and cons:
Advantages of Parganos:
- Might be a bit less dauntingly large in the end game (doesn't matter earlier on since people will not have that much space each)
- Need less players
Advantages of Cradle of Dominion:
- I think it's a nicer map
- At least two players are already playing on Parganos
- I think a larger game is quite exciting
Do people have any thoughts? My own inclination is to wait a bit and see if we can get enough for Cradle, but I'm open to suggestions.
Dallan_Invictus
June 26th, 2007, 07:50 AM
For myself, I'd like to wait and see if we can fill up Cradle, but I'll play Parganos if people want to get a quicker start. Like you, I find the idea of a large game thrilling. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Aristander
June 26th, 2007, 08:38 PM
I am happy with Cradle of Parganos. I just think 22 sea areas is not very many for 2 sea kingdoms. . . especially since I am playing R'lyeh.
Not trying to hijack the thread but are Cradle, Parganos and Desert Eye the most common maps for multiplayer?

I'll give it a shot, any non-water nation is fine.

I'm brand new to the multiplayer..so any map is fine with me.
J Henry Waugh
June 26th, 2007, 10:19 PM
I don't like the looks of Parganos… …I can't read the province names, and province type clumpings really seem to be unevenly distributed (i.e., waste squares all together, big splotches with no resource generating provinces, etc.…)…
llamabeast
June 27th, 2007, 05:26 AM
Aristander - you might be slightly cramped, but if we get as many players as I'd like the land nations will only have 15 provinces each anyway, and sea provinces are generally more valuable. I think it will probably be okay.
Shuma - Cool, I'll add you to the list. It's good you're happy with any nation, but go ahead and try to form an opinion if you can. I suppose I could pick for you, but chances are my tastes and your tastes differ a bit.
J Henry (is that what your friends call you?) - I'm a bit inclined to agree.
I reckon we should wait a little longer for more players. Probably more will turn up at the weekend if not before.

If Agartha is free, I'd love to take a slot. I'm more familiar with their simpler race than with the complexities of Shinuyama. I've already formulated a loose gameplan- nothing detailed, but better than Shinuyama, for whom I had ZERO late game ideas, and my starting strategy involved goblins dieing by the hundreds just to expand a few provinces.

Never played MP before, but have to start sometime. So count me in! Can I be Machaka?
I agree with J Henry re the Parganos map

Lazy Perfectionist, your heartwarming story about Shinuyama has convinced me to try them out! Hopefully goblins will be dying by the less-than-hundreds. Hopefully.

Would two or three of you like to volunteer to switch to the Chinchilla game, in which a few of the people who signed up appear to have gone AWOL? As an incentive it will probably be starting a little sooner than this game. Just post here, then there and upload a pretender ASAP. Note that you might have to/be able to switch nations - please check which ones have already been taken.
I'm hoping this game will fill up nicely at the weekend, recruitment generally seems to move a bit faster then.

Good to hear, Shuma. Always glad to hear my failures motivate someone else to success.
While I missed the occasion, Llamabeast just took down three Abyssian armies and their Pretender with Shinuyama after he took over for the stalled player in Jaguar. I have no idea how he did it, but I do know I'm jealous.
There is a Shinuyama strategy guide I can point you to if you're interested, but the original author of it hasn't been heard from this year.

I generally don't like MP games; I've been SP pretty much all my life. But I would like to test the MP waters with Dom3. And I notice that the MA nation I have the most SP experience with is not taken--in either this game or the Chinchilla game. So.
Put me down for Tien-Chi, if you still have room, in either game; I'll play whichever I'm needed most in. And, almost certainly, get my butt kicked...: )
llamabeast
June 29th, 2007, 05:24 AM
Yucky - great, I'll put you down.
Saxon - sorry, I always forget to write this. The game'll be 24-hour quickhost. That means it hosts 24 hours after it last hosted, or when everyone has got their turns in, whichever is sooner. In practice this seems to work out nicely, and maintains a nice pace. Later on in the game when the turns take longer we can extend the timer if people want to. Hope you'll play by the way, am I right in thinking you normally play SP?
IndyPendant - good stuff. I also generally avoid MP, but I'd very highly recommend MP Dominions. Would you mind joining the Chinchilla game in fact? If you could upload your pretender ASAP that would be brilliant. There's instructions for doing that somewhere in that thread.

Schaedelbaron - yep, great, you're in. Please choose a nation (you can see which ones have been taken in the first post - I hope there's still some that you want not taken).
Remmy - cool. Can I make a request though? I'd like it if you limited your blessing to only 1 level 9 bless. That should in itself be extremely powerful. Even experienced players find fighting double blessed Vans to be hopeless and no fun, so it seems especially mean to have them in a game for newish players.
Ubercat - sorry, Atreides beat you to Pangaea. Any other nation you fancy?

Oh, I should have mentioned before, I think we will use the Worthy Heroes mod, because it is nice and fun without changing things very much. Basically it just adds a few more heroes to the game, and makes sure every nation has at least some heroes.
I'll attach the mod to this post. Just unzip the file and put the contents in your dominions3/mods folder.
llamabeast
June 30th, 2007, 12:30 PM
I just realised I never posted in this thread how to upload your pretenders - d'oh! Okay, here's how:
- Go to Game Tools -> Create a pretender god in Dominions
- Go to the savedgames/newlords folder in the dominions directory, and find your pretender file (e.g. mid_pythium_0.2h)
- E-mail the file to: pretenders[ at ]llamaserver[ dot ]net
- Crucially, you must have the game name, 'SmokyBat', in the subject line of your e-mail
You can see who's joined so far etc at www.llamaserver.net (http://www.llamaserver.net) .
I hope that's clear-ish. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi PurpleRhino,
Sorry, just reached 14 players, which I think is as many as can really fit on Cradle of Dominion. I will start up a new newbie game in a week or so though - it'll be early age next time I think. You'd be very welcome to join that.
Chantillary - your e-mail killed the server! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Um, I have no idea how. The 'MIME' module I'm using just said 'Don't know how to decode x-uuencode', which unfortunately means nothing to me. Um, do you have another e-mail address you can use? Anyway, I can add your pretender manually, and I'll start the game shortly.

UUencode (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UUencode) is one of the oldest encoding algorithms in IT. It's still very heavily used in Usenet, for example. I don't know what you use for programming, but there should be something which let's you encode and decode the data, PHP has functions for that built-in (convert_uuencode (http://php.net/convert_uuencode) / convert_uudecode (http://php.net/convert_uudecode)). For the man pages to the command line equivalents, see

Okay guys, the game is starting!
The first turn has 48 hours on the timer, in case there are any problems. Subsequent turns will have 24 hours, i.e. the game will host 24 hours after the last hosting, or when all 14 turns are in, whichever is sooner.
Good luck! Let me know if there are any problems.
llamabeast
July 1st, 2007, 08:07 PM
Ooh whoops, problem!
It looks like Atlantis and R'lyeh must have designed their pretenders while using a mod that affects pretender costs - almost certainly the Conceptual Balance mod (or alternatively the Mythology mod).
So everyone please ignore this turn since we will do a restart, and Atlantis and R'lyeh please send in new pretenders, making sure all mods are off (technically you should have the same mods on as the game you're joining, so worthy heroes should be on, but it doesn't affect pretenders so doesn't matter).

Aristander
July 1st, 2007, 08:40 PM
Very strange. I re-enabled the two mods (worthy Heros 1.7b and Blessing Hotfix. I then made a pretender.
No difference that I could find, same as unmoded. All I can think is that I restarted Dominions a few times while in the process of originally creating the pretender.

Okay guys, I've just done some tests - I started the game three times using the same pretender for Atlantis and Aristander's resent pretender. Twice it worked, twice it gave the error. Seems like a bug in dominions or something to me - really really odd in any case.
So I will just start it again and hope it works I think.

Just curious about this weird thing happening with me. I had worthy heroes installed already, but for some reason my file was 1.7 rather than 1_7. So I downloaded the file Llamabeast attached, but I was wondering if there is any difference between the two, or if it has simply been renamed.
llamabeast
July 1st, 2007, 09:21 PM
Gah! Much agony and two restarts later, I think we are fixed. Please use the turn that was "resent" to you (should be the only one without cheating messages, unless I have got confused, which is entirely possible).
Exceptionally weird error. I started the game exactly the same every time. Sometimes it gave an error, sometimes not. I actually think it is a dominions bug (which I don't say lightly), I will report it when I get a chance.
Atreides - that's probably just either me mistyping the name or something when I was making my zip, or someone else mistyping something at some point. The files will be exactly the same.
Chantillary_of_Kerisdale
July 1st, 2007, 09:51 PM
I think you might've gotten confused.
Without the Heroes mod installed, the turn won't start.
With it installed, but not turned on, the turn will start and turn the mod on without asking permission.
I think, if people are going to be creating pretenders without this mod being active, the best thing to do is to (short term) rename the appropriate .dm file with another (additional) extension (like .backup) so the game does not recognize it as being valid for its use.
llamabeast
July 1st, 2007, 09:56 PM
Erm, I don't understand that last bit, Chantillary (the first stuff is correct though, but I'm not actually sure who you're answering). What problem are you trying to solve?
When making pretenders mods don't actually matter, apart from the two mods which affect pretender design (CBM and Mythology).
I originally thought our problems with starting the game were due to you and Aristander using mods, but they weren't at all in fact - rather they were just inexplicable!
Dallan_Invictus
July 1st, 2007, 09:56 PM
Worthy Heroes supposedly doesn't affect pretenders, so it shouldn't be a problem to have it active to create. In any case, the game seems to be running. So, we can have at it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Grab the .trn file, put it in a subdir of your Dom3/savedgames directory (I used SmokyBat for the folder name, but it may not be absolutely necessary to do so), play the turn (the game name will be the same as the folder name), end the turn, take the .2h file from that folder and sent it back to the address the .trn file came from.

You need to send your 2h file back to the address that sent you the trn file - turns[ at ]llamaserver[ dot ]net. And it doesn't matter what you put as the topic (I normally leave it blank to save time).

The best laid plans are laid to waste by misfortune... ouch. I'm expanding, at least, but I planned to be near the top of research, not held back at only two researchers, massive unrest in my home province. I think I was way to aggressive with my negative scales.
I also see Pyaray the tentacled overlord (R'lyeh), and Pythium. Heres hoping my hideous scales discourage invasion.

I'm seeing what I'm assuming is R'lyeth (I'm fairly certain that no land-based playewr has access to amphibious troops this early), and what I know is Man.
Had the bad luck to have the first land province I invade to be right next door to what I assume is his capitol, and 2 other subjugated provinced of his to either side. My commander and 9 of her 24 troops survived, and took out 29 of his 53 troops. Good thing Man didn't wait until next turn to attack -- I might've been unbeatable (as I was willing to sink all my funds for the turn into defence for the province. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif)

Hi guys,
I wonder if I could ask someone to volunteer to be the "admin" for this game? It's not much of a job at all - basically if someone asks for an extension to the timer you do it (via the llamaserver.net website, with the "admin options" link on the game page). You'll also have the ability to do other things like change the hosting interval or switch someone's e-mail address so a sub can take over, but these things will only come up very rarely.
I ask because (a) I'm going away for a week and a half on Wednesday, so won't be around to watch things, and (b) I'm quite keen to make sure every game has its own admin, so I don't have to keep careful tabs on all the game threads. I mean, I probably will anyway, but I want to make sure I don't let it become a job.
Just post here and I'll PM you the password. Thanks!

Well it appears my overture to Jotunheim has gone disregarded. My mistake for not attacking them outright. Well, now I know who I'll first be waging war against.
At least a quadruple bless. Attack +2, Defense +2, regenerates 2 hitpoints a turn, 2 extra reinvigoration. And thanks to divine + bless, 18 morale total. Bah.

You attacked me, not the other way around.
Lazy_Perfectionist
July 12th, 2007, 07:39 AM
True. It's all spin. And I did attack you first. But as I warned you, I consider that province essential to my border, and I do know who I'll first be waging war against. I didn't really give diplomacy a serious chance, I'll admit, nor give the games slow-*** communications a chance. But I did offer to pay blood price for the province, in money or whatever. So, to be fair, for the record, you're hardly the aggressor or whatever, but as I consider that single province a key component to my defensive line, so help me, I consider it a state of war until its under my control. It's within two spaces of my capital, and on my side of thin landbridge. As it is, you need hold only that province, while that one province forces me to defend more of my side.
And somehow, despite being completely innocent, your bless nation is bringing enough giants to overwhelm 25 pd points and forty soldiers. Such virgin innocence. You're now one step from my capital. See why I thought it was a strategic necessity to hold that province?
Yucky
July 12th, 2007, 11:05 AM
I understand and totally agree with your aggressive stance on other nations being within two of your starting province.

The forces of Jotunheim have taken my capital... Unfortunately, my troops could not stand before the might of Jotunheim without breaking.
Unfortunately, their leaders yet live.
On the other hand, my troops still live, the cowards, and I've taken less casualties- unless you count stupid PD.
I've taken down two-thirds of their bless force, and my pretender has awoken. It's a bit risky, but I still have a chance.

I don't have scouts in your territory, but I can resend my turn if necessary. I'm sending my troops into Anodyr, but don't look forward to an accidental skirmish between our forces. I'm also concerned about the sixty hostile forces in 116. Being undead, they can travel through the water. Do I need to clear a path through 116, 111, or do I not need to worry about their movement paths?

Yes. It was thanks entirely to Ulm that I didn't have to fight off a second wave of giants, which likely would have ruined me. Ulm now controls much of Jotunheim's territory. The thing that granted me the ability to fight off first wave of giants wasn't my poor research choices, but the awakening and equipping of my cyclopian pretender, Hillary Rodham Clinton who was more than a match for the few giants around my capital. Since I was capable of hiring enough mercenaries, and tramplers bigger than giants, I was able to clear those territories of mine.

I wish to remind Pythium of the terms of our territorial pact.
Isen Hills (168) happens to be mine. In exchange, I did not invade 150, or 157, despite you leaving them unoccupied so long. I may have been occupied by a spat of barbarians, but I still once owned 168, and by the terms of our original treaty, it belongs to me. I respectfully request you withdraw from that province. If I do not receive any forms of diplomatic communique, I will consider it a hostile act, and act as Agartha is slow to do.

CelestialGoblyn
August 12th, 2007, 12:18 PM
Pythium cannot give any guarantees, nor enter any pacts with Agartha.
We would only be motivated to enter a non-agression pact if territorial concessions would be made.
Lazy_Perfectionist
August 12th, 2007, 01:09 PM
I wasn't talking about non-aggression pacts, per se. I wasn't interested in treaties, since the one we have covers our border sufficiently as a simple division of territorial lines, but rather was wondering if there was some trade or action that would be mutually beneficial, and thus encourage peace as a simple matter of action.
Ulm, for instance, is getting a beneficial exchange rate of gems. There's a benefit to maintaining peace with me, for him, above and beyond the benefits of simply not being at war.
I'm looking for a way to increase the Value of peace. Not as a means to purchase a treaty, but to actually include a factor that makes it in your own best interest to maintain positive relations.
Lazy_Perfectionist
August 12th, 2007, 04:28 PM
It's a good thing I already took death scales. The only two death sites I found are both a Well of Pestilence, at +1 each.
Most of my random gem events have been kind enough to hand me death.
I don't believe I ever saw an anonymous assassination before... and it showed up as an "unexpected event" in a completely illogical place.
So, while it makes me uncomfortable, I'll assume none of my neighbors had anything to do with it.
But then again... looking at another province, the assassin in my territory was clearly Pythium's. This one wasn't trying to assassinate, at least not yet, but it's also quite troubling.
I'll have to reallocate my forces. Hopefully it will only be a matter of caution, but I have to prepare for war with Pythium. At the moment, I'll restrict myself to sealing off my lands and finding (and killing), any assassins in my lands.
llamabeast
August 12th, 2007, 05:31 PM

Gee, Pythium, I would never have figured out we were at war if you hadn't sent that declaration of war. After all, it only arrived once you sat yourself down on my fortress. Fortunately, I was expecting something along those lines and pulled back my patrollers...
Our original pact did not specify any nonaggression, it simply stated the division of our border, and expanding past that is war. So I have no ill will, but surely you could have picked a better time... I was about to have fun going after Ulm...
So, pooh. At least I've got Jotun's capital for those needed death gems.

Three Great hawks and 60 black hawks. Three castings of Call of the Winds. They just got beat by five province defense (or 5 li, 5 mi).
15 gems < 15 gold...
Maybe against a less armored race... People have claimed Agarthan PD is horrible... but maybe they were facing the wrong enemy.
But even knowing the gems you're spending, I can't bear to watch it anymore... Except with a kind of sick fascination. I'm torn between raising my pd levels and seeing how far they can go without any further investment. Heck, maybe we can agree on an experimental province.

A pity, pity. Well, at least they haven't taken a single one of my forts yet, and I'm still capable of assaulting Ulm, albeit at a snail's pace, and questionable success, but with very limited risk.
As long as Pythium doesn't get a fort in my lands or nature mages + gems for bags of endless booze, they'll find it a bit hard to eat. I've learned a couple important lessons from other games about holding down the forts, and from reading up on Ulm.

If you are willing to cede a few provinces to me, I can agree on peace.
(By the way, freezing the game for a while is all okay with me.)

I'm fine with a pause.

I offered peace in part because of the Forge of the Ancients. As that spell is down AND I'm not willing to cede any further territory, I'm not looking with favor upon peace.

Dammit. I woulda sworn I'd sent in my turn...
Dammit!
I can see I'm going to stale, I know I did my turn, and there's nothing I can do about it.

I would not mind a pause However, I will be away Friday and Saturday and Sunday (Labor Day Weekend) so I would like to extend the pause until next Monday.

Dispelling my forge of the ancients was understandable but dispelling my well of misery was just well not very nice....

This has to be the only time I've ever been glad to be hit by a barrage of my opponent's spells. I had spent most of my turn preparing for Pythium to storm my fortress, only to send in the order file for the wrong game... So when I realized this, I was thinking I'd just lost my pretender, a fort, yadda yadda yadda.
Thank you for being so cautious as to scout my forces first. Thank you. Still not a bad idea, but my salvation this time. If I had sent in the right turn file, I would be resenting that, but...
So... What spell was cast on my province? I can't see any noticeable result. I suppose it had to do with Draconians or eagles.

Duh... what's with the bolts of flame hitting my flying mages?
I mean, which spell does this?

If you tell me what you were casting, I'll tell you what killed off ten of your mages.

I just defeated Bogus with 4 casulties. 1 commander, 3 statues. Its times like these that remind me why I like Agartha.

The castle is mine, your cyclops is dead.
You have chosen a bad castle to defend yourself in.

August 29th, 2007, 06:12 PM
Who said I chose it? Remember, I stalled earlier, and got stuck there. Still, it is a valid kill, because I did have time to prepare defense though I was stuck in a position not of my choosing.
That said, I want to see the replay, and see if I gave myself some stupid battle lineup that promoted my death.

I'm never taking misfortune 2 again, even with order 3. I'm in the middle of a war and I'm hit by barbarians and knights and bogus... Well... on I go. Why people like the order misfortune combo I just cannot comprehend.
Will I take your capital before you catch up with me?
Is there anything earth mages can do against ethereal, lucky, high defense angels? Will I figure it out in time?
Next time on:
The conquest of Agartha.

I'd appreciate a slower game. Both long term and for this labor day weekend.
Until Tuesday, could we set the game to a 48 hour cycle?
And after that, 30 hour, maybe?
Edit: I'm impressed. Opposition = hurt. So much for my sentinels... Important lesson.

Slowing the game down's fine by me.
Also, I need to drum it into my head. "Defend" means "Defend Castle", not 'Defend Province". Stop leaving the PD to fight the invading snakes alone.

Who's administering this game, by the way? Did Llama hand it off, or is he the one? If we can't switch to a slower schedule, I'll settle for one 6hr postponement. Locally, this turn is due 7:00 AM. I can't manage that, especially as currently exhausted I am.

I'm afraid I can't keep this 24 hour schedule. Or rather, by keeping it, it hurts my sleep, controls my life.
With great regret, I must go over to AI.

Hey guys,
Sorry, I've not been reading this thread, cos like all the games I was thinking it had an admin to sort it. The admin was Atreides, and since he's no longer in the game I guess he's not watching the thread closely, fair enough.
Would someone else volunteer to take over admin duty please?
And for the moment I'll change the hosting schedule to 48 hours - I'm impressed it's lasted so long on 24. Hope this is what everyone wants.
LP - very sorry you were driven to turn AI. You could have PMed me if you were getting desperate.

Yeah, _there_ is D-Day from the gibbering hordes. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif I don't see much I can do about this, but it'll surely be fun to try.

I just thought geographically speaking Marignon would be the easiest territory to capture and hold. I believed I could strengthen my position before Shinuyama became a threat.
I was wrong.
Shinuyama has completed his conquest of the southern continent and has invaded one of my Sea territories in violation of our NAP. I cannot blame Shinyama he is so powerful he thinks he is beyond any reckoning for his actions.
Shinuyama is mighty, as everyone knows he has started many global enchantments. I think our only chance is to band together against him, even then it may be too late.
As a newbie, I sure would not mind some advice.

That land had been sitting unused for 3-4 turns before I moved in. It seemed like a waste of gems and gold to let it sit there. I am not in violation of the NAP considering it was not under your control at the time and I would gladly cede it to you if you asked.

My most humble apologies to Shinuyama, he did NOT break or NAP.
I know I took the territory long ago, but I may have lost it to independents at one point.
Shinuyama you may keep the provence. . . for now.

Anyone who wants peace can have it, anyone who'd prefer to continue overrunning me while Shinuyama takes over can do that too. I'm really not in a position to dictate. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Well...wow. I thought Rl'yeh was in a great position and then, BAM, out of the blue, dominion kill.
I suppose this means we're all doomed now. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Not if we work together.
Or at least negotiate something reasonable.
For example, I don't really mind those Tartarians running around and stuff, but that LIGHTNING is starting to get on my nerves.
Aristander
September 21st, 2007, 08:58 PM
Wow, So was it a dominion Kill. No message except that my pretender was permanently banished. At first I thought my pretender got hit by LIGHTNING, but as I had the Ankh I thought I would get life after death.
My pretender had a dominion of 9 so I did not worry about dominion. I was preoccupied with building labs and constructing Starspawn.
Well another lesson learned for this newbie.
Thanks everyone.
