Recently tried using the battlefield spell called "growing fury" yet none of my troops received the option of going beserk. During battle I also did not see any human soldiers which were wounded turn beserk. I saw a nice little green icon on the top right of the screen yet checking the units on the battlefield revealed none of them had the option of going beserk.
Is this broken... or can someone explain how the spell works. Thanks!

I also recently tried the spell to no avail. Same experience. Nice little green icon, but no berserkers.

I think berserkers are automatically berserk, and others start to go berserk a bit random. Let the battle go on for a while and see if units in the rear turns red.

Be mindful of your mages though, they migt berserk as well.

I saw growing fury working fine when used against me by TC in Radiance game. It was used successfully in a few battles.

It worked so succesfully, that after casting it my celestial masters went berserk first http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif

Yeah, be very careful with this one. I think it's a good way to get some extra mileage out of your otherwise obsolete units, but its a good way to get more valuable units killed quickly.

One time I had a Queen of Elemental Air go berserk the second round of battle. 55 air gems out the window - she should never have been anywhere that spell was.

Yes, it's a nightmare if you've got flying mages. Script it as late as possible.

The manual says that it causes all units with the beserk ability to go beserk instantly. That's a real disaster if you've got sacred mages and a nature 9 bless. Kinda punishes thematic play.
