Sorry to hear that. But it seems like it's damn early, school here starts only halfway through August. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Eschew sleep and do both! Go into Monday with a Dominions hang-over like the rest of us!

Quick... convince JK to fix the #startspell. Very important feature for those of us who use map edit commands.
I'll give you some fire gems. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Don't forget your vest and your sidearm! oh wait, you don't live in America-chainmesh sharksuit and a billy club should work http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Don't worry too much, I've been working 40 hours a week at my job, plus atleast another 20 doing house things and I've managed to finally get one of my mod nations to the point where I'll be posting it this week, if my wife doesn't run my laptop over with her car...

Oops, forgot to include the point: My point is, if I can, with my schedule, still do work on Dominions, well-so can you http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif And maybe you can find a few students who'd be interested in the game!

No students until end of august, but we are moving to a new school and there are losts of stuff that will need my attention, apart from planning courses. So it is not so bad, a soft start, but still I can't get up at 10 or 11. And I'm not free!

Still, it will be fun. Moving and all. Just that I'm getting used to this lazy life http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.

New houses are fun, a new place to live and work is fun, meeting new people and making new friends is fun.

Moving is not not not not not fun. Not unless someone else is doing the moving for you. Not even then, because if you're like me, you just worry about breakage, theft, etc.

If by fun you mean "awful nightmarish experience," then I totally agree. The first thing I learned when I graduated college and moved was how hard it is to meet people in the real world. Of course, still being in an educational enviornment, I'm sure it won't be the same for KO.

Meh, meeting people in the real world is a simple matter of getting serious about it. If you apply yourself and really treat your social life as something to be cared for and managed then it comes together pretty easily.

Ofcourse, I always mean "an awful, nightmarish experience" when I use the word "fun". http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

HB, I think we've got off on the wrong foot. I was just making a joke about the fact that in my life, what you consider fun is not necessarily what I do. I know that you mean fun when you said fun. I'm glad it's fun for you, actually, I wish it was for me, too!

I feel your pain. I am hoping that someone like Bill Gates gets an urge to gives a large quantity of money to a worthy and well deserving person, someone such as me as the foremost candidate is my first thought, so that I won't have to spend so much time on funding my vices of food, shelter and clothing.

Of course the probability of this is somewhat less than getting 2 heroes, the ark and a ring of wizardry on the first turn with misfortune 3.

Nah, Stryke, we're fine. I knew exactly what you meant, I just decided it was funny, the way you said it.

It's hard to express humor online, unless it's explicitly stated.

I wish it was fun for you too, although certainly, it hasn't been a perfectly smooth experience for me, by any means.

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif OK, now it has begun!

But it was quite soft. Not much that was installed in the new building. No furniture (it came after lunch), no internet connection etc. So we went and had a swim in the sea, near the new school. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

In fact this whole week will be soft. Tomorrow I will take a full day of exploring our future event site and walk and swim and have a good day.

Wednesday we are supposed to go to the Capital for a two day meeting with colleagues and develop courses and have Kick-off. /threads/images/Graemlins/Martini.gif

But, I'm not used to going up this early http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Heh. My both parents are teachers, and the summit of their summer panic is the next Monday. Good luck with your work.

BTW, I've always envied Gandalf a bit. I'd like to be retired and be able to play games like him. I want to be like him when I grow old...

Heh. When I saw the title of this thread, my computer-blurred eyes first read it as "Summer Picnic". Just a matter of perspective...
