It would be nice if somebody could optimize Dom3 for the cell processor.

Right now it runs but very slowly..:(

But really, are you sure that you have direct rendering working correctly? Because otherwise I'd assume it'd work.

I think it have more to do with the GPU (graphic card) then the CPU.

Yellow dog Linux on PS3 does not have access to the frame buffer (and some other graphic subsystems) which means that it will even have problem with playing a full screen movie, gameing on the ps3 linux is at this point close to impossible due to performance issues.

Definetly. Consoles have specialized high-end graphics arrangements which are great if they are used but they tend to handle old-generic graphic modes rather badly.
