I just had this happen to me for the first time in a MP game 2 days before K posted. It sure is fun http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

No screenshot unfortunately, since I had already downloaded the new turn.

This is actually quite lucky, really. 999 is the base for 'instant death' spells, if memory serves, so 977 is quite the break. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

By the way my mage suffered 'Dimension Overload' during the attack as well, the description of which is: Making sense of this place is highly unlikely. (Att/2, Def/2, Perc/2, MR/2).

I don't know if damage done by soul slay is considered physical damage? my Pan mage did have 20 something protection, perhaps that's why he got a 977 damage?

screenshot attached.

hmm, It would appear sould slay is considered physical damage, the other mage of mine also got attacked in a MP game, he had 10 protection and suffered 987 points of damage.

Fal, this is part of the spell http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif Makes the opponent's defenses, including MR, divided by two.
