I know this has been asked before, but the boards are very hard to search on something of this order.

What does the ritual spell Illwinter do? I have cast it in my SP game. 3 turns ago now. Unrest seems to be increasing, and also cold, but not in a major way. Is there any other effect with this spell?

I believe those are the only effects of the spell. It is primarily used by Niefelheim (maybe Caelum, or is it Niefel only, now?) to freeze the world for their troops' benefit. Note, it DOES affect the whole world. If you've got a really good Air commander, toss Fata Morgana on it for fun and profits. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

It does produce a few random province attacks as well, I think giants and wolves. A couple such per turn I believe.

Caelum's iceclads do still benefit from cold. So do people fighting Abyssians, for example... or people using undead against living armies, for another...
