So how much different does the size of a MBT/Tank class vehicle make by even 1 value different?

The Help menu for Mobhack only states Infantry, and Artillery but nothing on ground base vehicles like APCs and Tanks.

It makes a difference. Set up a test firing range and fire 50 shots at size 4 targets then 50 at a size 5 targets all at the same ranges and you will hit the size 5 target more often.
