How feasible would it be to port WW over to the Nintendo DS, I was thinking about it yesterday and i'm convinced it would translate perfectly to DS,

The touch screen would allow you expand on the user interface and let you switch screens for combat/map work, You'd be able to have more extensive FMV for encounters and you could have your flotilla wingmen chiming in during battles for a more realistic feel,

Is WW primarily Java based?

Not sure how well that'd translate to DS?

C'mon all you WW mod makers/DS Homebrew coders, Get going!!

I swear it'd be a beautiful thing.......

It would have to be homebrew. The problem with all those consoles is the large chunk of change you have to give them to even show up at the party.

Weird Worlds is written in C, not Java. It uses SDL/OpenGL for low level cross-platform graphics and OpenAL + Ogg/Vorbis for sound.

Microsofts XNA? I don't have any experience with it but I have heard it does a damn lot and that would seem like a good way to get it to consoles at least the XBOX360

Just my two cents but the game would be perfect for Steam and the Xbox Arcade.
