Just had a talk in the Dominions IRC-channel and someone suggested a funny-pic thread. Since I'm vulnerable to random ideas, this thread was born.

I'll start by the tragic tale of the Ulmish hero Karloman. He decided to fight in the Arena to get some sweet Trident. In the Epic finale showdown of the Arena my Poor Karloman got one hit in from a Ermorian prophet-ed Lictor. Unfortunately that 3 damage hit also caused an affliction. Disease. Things kinda snowballed from there.

He's Diseased, Blind, Weakened, Chest Wound, Limp, Never Healing Wound, Mute, Battle Fright and Lost an Arm.

And recently dead, since the province where he was building a fort got hit by the Caspar-finds-a-cave event. Talk about tough luck!

At least he still has ONE arm. Ha!

Here is another. This is what happens when you have a huge communion, and the master casts Pheonix Pyre and one of the slaves goes down, killing another and so on

I lost over 20 commanders in a couple of seconds.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Wow... I almost spat coca-cola up and out of my nose.
Excellent, excellent. Perhaps a little fire ward? Or how about a marshmellow roast.

God... its killing me... laughing my *** off... At the moment, Cor2, you win.

That's the sorta thing I would do, like giving my Father of Winters titan cold vulnerability, so he gets knocked out by his own cold aura.

Thanks. Even though it was an MP game and it meant that I had lost I still laughed and laughed.

Fire ward might have been a good idea...

It occurs to me that vampire nobility are both immortal and blood mages, who can therefore cast Sabbath Slave... hm.

You'd want somebody like a VQ w/ fire magic to lead it, 'tho.

I'm pretty sure I've been told several times that phoenix pyre is not actually fire damage(although it could have been changed).
However, spread out vampires could do well, partially due to their flying.

That was the first thing I had in mind when I saw this thread.

You know, I am still waiting for vidcaps on Youtube, or somewhere else, for this. You said you wanted to do some with Fraps, I think, what was the holdup? I could do it for you in case you can't do it yourself, if you send me the savegames.

Hold up is I have no idea how to do it. So I will post the file here and you or anyone else can do it. Thanks Ich.

Vampires are fire-vulnerable, actually. But that's not the reason I mentioned them -- it's because they're immortal mages with the requisite magic for Sabbath (there aren't any multisummonable immortals that have any chance for Astral, if memory serves).

Immortal, exploding, flying Sabbath circus might be an entertaining if perhaps non-optimal tactic if used within their own dominion. Need the 1F on the master to cast Phoenix Pyre, and that's not stock so either needs to be VQ or empowered, but *shrug*.

Ok, I captured the moment in Fraps and I'm uploading to YouTube now.

I like the way you think Taqwus.

And I look forward to the video.

Well I fell asleep last night while it was uploading, and apparently something didn't work. Guess I'll try again here...

Well it doesn't wanna work for me. It says Failed (unsupported codec).
I don't really know much about video editing, so if someone knows what to do I can email you the AVI. It's just short of 100 MB.

Wow, void, I see my heroes have a lot of suffering to do before they'll be competitors for the public Hall of Lame!

when i login to my kingdom this morning a messenger hurried to my living room with a funny face and, no etiquette.
"what happened?"
he stood there struggling to catch his breath, but failed to speak a single word before he fall right below my nose.

That, and i found reports he was carrying. Reports a cow's weight, recording recent events happened at the battlefront.

There was in fact more than that, and all except one(which caused 15 slingers to desert) are stopped by domes.

The now gone messenger bring the high morale to all Arco's child, and his name shall not be forgotten. Praise the great Pheidipides, there will be a commemoration for us to memorize the great messenger, named, Ferathon!

Well, I've seen some odd afflictions, such as the lost a few doezen eyes that void creatures seem to get, but this one was a first for me. I have the text box on semi-transparent, and you can vaguely see the poor devil in the background.
