Just a small mistake I spotted while modding this one:

Unit 260 "Para squad" has weapon 167 in slot 4.
Weapon 167 is "9M120M Ataka", parametered as such (class 21, range 120, HEAT 80). While I have nothing against giving ATGMs to infantry squads, maybe a 50kg, 6-km supersonic radiobeam heliborne weapon is a tad overkill, particularly at 10 rounds per 10 men? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

For reference, unit 261 is similar except weapon 4 is #152 "RPG-7MT" and IOC is 2005 instead or 2007.
Maybe weapon 167 was intended for a light short-range ATGM and was replaced later? Or just weapon number typo?
Not 100% sure about this one myself.

ATGM Ataka - are not intended for people. ATGM Ataka it can be started only from the special apc.

Checked some more, and it could be a typo for weapon #157 "RPG-7TB 103mm" (FAE RPG-7), which isn't used by any para unit yet.

Weapon 031 - wrong characteristics of the weapon - need to be established on sample RPO-A Shmel - Russia OOB

Hi, I am from Poland. Some questions:

1) Why in WINSPMBT v 3.5 in Polish OOB in weapon slot ATGM Spike-LR has HEAT 160? Is it a joke or what? Polish sources give at most 800mm RHA...And I see in other OOB-s Javelin ATGM has HEAT 45 , and Polish estimates for Javelin are 800-1000mm RHA and all Polish sources give Javelin better penetration than Spike. Meanwhile in Israel OOB I see SpikeMR HEAT 80? What is going on here?

I have also another question.

2) Is it possible in WINSPMBT game mechanics for ATGM to be both DC-ATGM and TA-ATGM? Polish sources claim Spike-LR to be both multi-charged and top attack missile. Is that true?

Hi, glad to have first-hand info.
FYI the Polish OOB has been redone with Polish assistance already. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

1) No idea, probably just inconsistencies as different OOBs were done by different persons from various sources. Also, as I have seen, hard data on the Spike series has been very hard to come by. 160 seems a bit over the top, but I wouldn't have ruled out 120 or similar.

2) You'll have to look harder in the archives for confirmation, but I heard from the devs that HEAT TA-ATGMs are considered by the game as having advanced tandem warheads with regard to ERA resistance. AFAIK most top-attack missiles these days (bar EFP weapons that I don't model as HEAT personally) have tandem warheads as well. No that there's that many of them around yet, but you get the idea.

Top attack are indeed assumed to be tandem warheads in the game.
It would not make sense to build a Javelin style weapon without a precursor charge anyway.
