Does the affliction chance bonus matter if a prophet or shrouded mage cast a damaging global (say, 'Wrath of God'), a remote spell ('Fires from Afar')?

Or a battlefield enchantment? It's known to work with direct-damage combat spells, but how about 'Wrathful Skies' or 'Foul Vapors'?

Or, oh, Blood Vengeance-inflicted damage?

Foul vapours, AFAIK, is a one hundred percent chance for disease. Can't see how D9 would help that.

You know what they say, "if one is good, then two must be better". All Afflictions are not equal.

And if they are, then we have to make some really nasty ones up http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif.

Yes, there is a past thread where the poster ran some tests and the death bless does indeed affect overland spells and globals.

How about global enchantments? If you're casting a damaging global enchantment and have a death bless, it seems that would make it highly worth it to throw on a shroud for the casting.

I thought foul vapors was a poison spell....

Foul vapors causes poison damage, not disease.

Is it 100 percent confirmed that a d9 blessed mage gets affliction bonus from a spell that causes damage(lighting bolt etc).
