Hi
As I said I was going to order the game which I did..now to talk about wasting some money ..Less than a week ago I cought Civ 4 Beyond the sword expansion..The problem is i was hoping for a lot of great new content and except for a few things it plays like the same old civ...Diplomacy hasn't changed all that much either...

I know i'm a 61 year old but i'm still Excited about Dominions.. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Join the 'comparing to civ4' thread, and discuss the marketing decisions that have been made by the developping team of civ4(This bloody game costed me at least 75 €). So sorry for my now deletted post you may, or may not have noticed. I was thinking you had already received dom3.

Makes me wonder why the Civ line of game products were at least in my eyes allwayslacking vs Alpha Centauri. At least it had semi-decent AI and it was not build deliberately to bust you from common sense.

Games that build they own strange logic to avoid flaws in them via common sense are little... strange. I mean in Civ the whole mess of each city costs more to upkeep, exponentially? Where it also raised upkeep of all excisting cities. Thus making ordinary expansion policies bit nasty.

If a games AI works it works, if it dosnt, you dont pull from the black box new bullcrap to balance game for your AI's stupdity.

Yes Alpha Centauri just had so many things you could play with it makes the civ games seem dumbed down.

I just lost 2 afternoons to Master of Magic, after being reminded of it here. Ah, the nostalgia.

Now, do I dare try to get Alpha Centauri working again?
