Hello! I've just been shown the link to the demo on another forum, and I found it to be a pretty amazing game. I don't mind the graphics, I don't mind the price.

I have the weekend entirely free for a change, so where can I get the game today?

I am only seeing an option to order by mail, which really doesn't help me out here. I'd like to play it right now. Do any stores carry this? Any digital download services? Direct2Drive? Gametap?

As far as I know there are no stores or direct download services selling dominions.
Buy the game from somewhere near to you if you want to lessen the wait(find a nearby seller on amazon for example) if needed or just order it from sharpnel.

I could be wrong but mail order, as far as I know, is the only way to get the game.
This game is great - you will not regret buying it. Just make sure to ask any questions you have on these forums, it helps quite alot as the game(as you have probably noticed) is rather deep and complex.

edit: Just keep playing the demo for now to get used to using national troops and lower-tier spells. There's quite a bit of stuff you can do in the demo while you wait.

Don't buy the game used. There are alot of pirates out there on ebay and such. The game will crash if its pirated, so it won't do you any good anyway.

Order it and play demo until it arrives.

Philthy, it is only available through online resellers. From your IP address it appears you're in Wisconsin. Ordering through Shrapnel shipping will come from NC and if you ordered over the weekend it would ship Monday morning, and there is a good chance you'd have it by mid-week.

As Cor2 mentioned, avoid scamBay. Looking at Amazon it appears that they have "J&R Music and Computer World" selling Dominions 3. Personally I don't know if that's an official reseller, Annette would know though and perhaps can say something about it. But I have no idea where they're located, or how long they ship.

Under more buying options you have it from amazon.com, but they have a strange text "Usually ships in 4 to 6 weeks". That's scary. I ordered mine with prime trial so 2 day shipping and it was fast. But buying from Shrapnel would be best after that 20% discount.

I agree with the guys who are telling you to buy it direct. While the game is a bit pricey, you will no doubt find the price you paid per hour of entertainment be the cheapest investment you ever made. The game is sure worth it. The demo has enough options to keep you busy til the game comes. If not, there is plenty of readin here!!!!

I would also suggest playing the demo until your official copy arrives. The demo has a time limit yet once your official copy arrives you can continue those games.

No matter what the advantage you think there is in buying from someplace else, buy from Scrapnel at their store GamersFront.com

Having them KNOW you bought it can save you much hassle if you lose your CD key or the disc goes bad when you want to install on a new machine

Buy it from Shrapnel,

It took it about 2-3 weeks to be delivered to my country. And its fast considering that I live in a very recluse Island

Thanks for the info. I played the demo on and off through the weekend and hit the end of it a few times. I did order it off Amazon, which is shipping from J&R Music. I'm familiar with them as they've literally been around forever.

Does the CD come with versions for all the machines? I have an iMac at home, but on the road I have an XP laptop. I didn't see an option for it, so I would assume it has all the versions.

Looking forward to reading a big fat manual as well.

Can you download from Stardock now?

Unfortunately not. You need to buy it and have it shipped to you. See the stardock thread.

Excellent. Can't wait to get it. It shipped out an hour after I placed an order. Should be here tomorrow or the following day.

I have seen a few copies on Amazon and E-bay. Might be able to get it at a discount.

Don't even think about buying any games on ebay.

You really think you'll get a valid, uncopied key off e-bay?!?!

More likely than not, eBay copies are pirated. There's one official eBay reseller, ask Mindi and Annette about that. There's also one on Amazon, again, ask the admins. Anything else and you'll end up paying for the game twice to get a working copy.
