Hi guys, i just wanted to know if temperature scales affect the effect of fire weapons. I know for example that abysian have certain penalties when fighting in the cold. Does anything similar happen to F9 bless flaming weapons? Are they more effective in a heat scaled province? What about flaming arrows? Does fighting in a cold province help in dealing with this tactics?
Thanks in advance http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

It has _some_ effect, but not likely the effect you are thinking of.

Heat scale in a province makes it harder for the fires caused by any fire-based attack to go out. That's it. So, they will take more damage, it just happens over time.

As a side note, Heat scale is supposed to make Fire spells cost less fatigue and Water spells cost more, just fyi.

No effect on flame weapons. Heat and cold scale affect units, not their equipment. Units with the fire power and cold power abilities are affected positively by their own scale and negatively by the opposite. National heat scale preferences can also affect at least some troops.

Wyatt Hebert is right. There is an indirect effect. Flaming weapons can turn people on fire and in heat that fire is likely to last longer.

Also, heat and chill auras are affected.
