"If player A siege B and A casts leprosy (or fires from afar etc...) on the province, B's army is affected.

But if A siege B and player C casts leprosy (or etc...) on the province, A's army is affected." (or is it random, or the dammages divided between the 2 ?)

Seeking Arrow strikes at least B's commanders if C casts it on the province. I don't know if it also strikes A's commanders from time to time... I suppose Leprosy & so on behave on a similar manner.

As EA Ctis in DoomChicken, I had those soldiers with the city defense bonus. I also had sufficient bags of wine to prevent starvation. The only way for me to get disease was through leprosy.

Abysia was sieging one of my forts with a large force. Ermor as well at another. I cast Leprosy on my province under siege. They got diseased, I did not.

I don't know what happens in all situations, but when your fort is under siege, you casting leprosy affects only their forces. I cast this spell repeatedly without ill effect.

I think the description has something about only affecting the enemy, though, so I don't know if functions under the same rules as seeking arrow. I did not cast it on my own troops when they were not under siege. If I was still alive in Doom Chicken, I could do that test.

It's in the manual, is it not? If A is sieging B then A's spells on that province will target B and vice versa, but spells cast by another player will randomly target one of them.

I tested this with earth attacks once, and if you cast it on a province where 2 other people are sieging each other, the earth attacks will hit both.

I had memories of a LA game in which I was sieging Man's capitol and my army recieved each turn a leprosy casts by his caelian allie, so I was thinking the bessiegers were always the victims. But in fact Man may just had luck, or also recieved some leprosies, don't know.

I did some testing:

In a siege, Leprosy always hit the besieging army.

Nation A is besieging Nation B in province X.

Nation C casts Leprosy on province X: Nation A's army affected.

Nation B casts Leprosy on province X: Nation A's army affected.

And I thought this was interesting: Nation A casts Leprosy on province X: Nation A's army affected. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif Ouch!

I also tested Manifestation: randomly hits a commander of A or B in province X. Does not matter who cast it.

Probably it's a good idea to test if you are unsure about other spells.

As an aside, if I'm besieged by an enemy force, and I bring out a bane venom charm, what happens?
