Hey all,

I figured I'd see if anyone is interested in playing in a TCP/IP game on Saturday evening. I would like to keep it to those who haven't played online or have only played a few online games... but anyone who feels they would fit in are welcome to join.

Map will be decided once I see how many are interested... I'm looking for between 6 - 8 players but, if there is enough interest, I wouldn't have a problem with more.

We will start the game at 9:30 PM EST (GMT -5:00) and go until around 12:30 AM or 1:00 AM EST.

I don't expect the game to be finished by then. We can finish the game either the next Saturday or on another day if everyone is in agreement on the day and time.

I will keep all the settings on default except for Independents, which I will switch to 6.

I think that using IRC will be the best for all of us to meet up, so please ensure that you have an IRC client downloaded. Here is a posting with some links of clients:

Alright, well I'll start by claiming T'ien Ch'i.

I'm a bit surprised that no one has signed up for this... I had figured that more people would be interested in a TCP/IP game.

Are people not interested in doing a TCP/IP game or is it that this time just doesn't work?

Do you have IRC? The at gamesurge.net there is a Dominions channel where blitzes occassionally happen- at the right time of day, of course.

The problem probably is that rather than one or two newbie games a month, there's probably been four or six of those already.

Thanks, Perfectionist. My friend and I are probably going to do that.

There's probably more of a chance of finding people who want a TCP/IP game there.

We'll be starting in the next 30 minutes... if anyone is around and interested in joining, just send me a message. We have 3 so far and it would be nice to get a few more.

Uhmm... AT&T (my ISP) is having DNS problems. This means I can't get into IRC. (unless someone has the isp for the gamesurge server). Could your post the address & port for SatNight here?

EDIT: right after this post, I finally connected.

Lazy, the game was last Saturday. If people are interested, I would be open to doing another one this Saturday.

But weren't we going to play it to completion?

Ah, yes, sorry, my head wasn't in the right place. I wasn't able to come around last night so we need to figure out when to get together.

Do you know if all the players have forum accounts so we can coordinate a new time to finish?
