What is the difference between the Ring of Wizardry and the Ring of Sorcery? (I mean besides price) One says it increases all magic paths and the other does the same for all sorcery paths.

What are the paths of Sorcery and Magic? I don't recall anything about that in the manual.

The non-elemental paths -- Astral, Blood, Death, and Nature -- are Sorcery.

Sorcery, I believe, refers to blood, death, nature, and astral magic only.

The term is largely defunct now that the random magic paths system has been revamped, but in if I remember correctly, in Dom1 and Dom2, a random path could truly allow all magic to be learned or only sorcery. Now that you can click the question mark and see exactly what paths you can get and the chances, Sorcery is an unimportant term.

Dom1 and Dom2 had three types of randoms: Elemental randoms (FAWE), sorcery randoms (SDNB) and full randoms (FAWESDNB). The RoW and RoS and elemental staff still work along those lines.

As well as the Robe of the Sorceress.
