This morning I tried MA Abyssia and summon a lot of Scorpions Men.
But some of their weapons seems not working :
- the plague bow (when I scripted "fire" they do nothing, just stay here...)
- Gaze of fear : I don't see anything like area of effect when they fought.
I had some issues with scripts too :
- attack none -> they do nothing
- attack closest / rearmost is oki

There is no bug that I'm aware of. I have used their bow and gaze in our simulator. I haven't tried them in a game though. I'm not sure if there is a graphical representation of the gaze.

Gaze of Fear uses the same animation as Gaze of Death, which is a short eruption of rust brown/red on the target squares. Inflicts heavy morale loss.

ah oki, So perhaps gaze of death works, and I confuse with Harm (Blood), but Bow of fear seems still broken, even with the LA TienChi sacred heavy cavalery :
I tried a D9 bless on it, but they didn't fire too

Sorry to take this off topic but did you actually say simulator???
Would you care to describe this simulator?- Is it graphical like dom-PPP?

It is based on the dom-ppp simulator I think, but it is limited and lacks UI, although the representation is graphical. I would like to have it more elaborate, but JK doesn't think I need it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Wow, I'm impressed.
I think it would be wonderful if one day this tool could also be shared with the players http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Nooo, cos then we would know what was going to happen in battle! Well, apart from differences due to random numbers. I think it is better to leave the element of surprise.

Theoretically one could argue that deep knowledge of the game can allow a player a high degree of being able to predict battle outcomes. One could also say that its possible to use the game itself as a way to simulate battles, just play both human nations and develop them so that it would be possible to simulate battles.
Besides, randomness has very big effect in battles esp. if they're evenly matched.
All that said, I guess you have a good point as I can imagine this tool being abused http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

You can create your own simulator with a custom map, plus mods to change research levels. Gandalf Parker made a 4-land 2-water "battleground simulator" map, but sorry, I lost the link.

This has gone completely OT http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
I have DLed Gandalf's map at the time but had no idea how to make it work. I'll try and search for the original link and cont. this discussion there.
Thank you vfb.
