This question is a bit trivial, but it has been bugging me.
I notice that when starting a single player game (don't know about MP) the starting province names are sometimes named after the race, and sometimes they are not. For example, if I start as EA Pangaea, the province is sometimes called 'Pangaea', while at other times it is just a generic name. I've noticed that this will go for every starting province on the map. If my province is 'Pangaea', then Lanka's is also 'Lanka'. But if my province is a generic name, then they are all generic.
BTW, I typically play on the 'glory of the gods' map, so that is where these observations come from.
Anybody know why the game does this? It seems like all games should be either 'nation named' or 'generic' provinces. But it is different every game.
