A blood-9 bless grants an ability called Death Curse, what does it do?

I believe a unit that kills your blessed unit becomes cursed (+100% chance to recieve afflictions). Basically not a bless you want to bother getting.

Apparently killing several B9 blessed units can add Horror Marks to the punishment.

It's still not worth getting your Pretender to B9 for the sake of the bless, though.

Easily the worst bless. I would add to Evilhomer: I think that when the blessed unit dies it curses the area around it so it could curse multiple units. Not 100% sure about this, however.

Pretty sure it only curses the unit that killed it and I've seen units that have killed many B9 blessed guys get horror marks, but not strong enough to attract horrors.

well, for a cheap, fragile, sacred unit this might be the perfect bless.

flagellant maybe.

They'd have to be really cheap and fragile. I mean, if you pay for it, you want to use it more than once.

You know, there would actually be some nice synergy with flaggelants. The blood bless also adds strength, which with their 2 attacks per round is a very nice addition. I checked LA Marignon's pretender chasis, and the Moloch gets you both fire and blood (F1B2) as a base. The final package might be enough to stop anybody with a SC pretender cold. Not saying its the most efficient way to play Mary, just a thought.

The strength is ok for flaggies (though not worth the points imo) but death curse is useless for every sacred in basegame. Seriously. Even flaggies are too few in number and cost too much for it to be worth it.

With Ulm Reborn you can get loads of freespawn penitent (which are flaggies without afflictions, basically) and even there death curse does virtually nothing. I mean if their units are slaughtering yours they get cursed, but being cursed doesn't mean a whole lot for regular troops and it is pretty much inevitable for SCs and thugs anyway. The horror marking is very weak but might envetually do something I guess.

Death curse is like a medallion of vengeance. For a strategy that relies on you /losing/, it doesn't do nearly enough to justify.

If undead sacreds are working these days it could be somewhat amusing for TC ancestor spirits.

Very true... and many battlefield spells make it possible to curse enemy units.

I like Doom for that, and thought it should couple well with one of the spells that does a slow drip-feed of damage to everyone on the battlefield.
