I'm just organising a game for players new to multiplayer. It occurred to me that people might not look in the MP forum, so I thought I'd post here as well. The game's called "Acouchi", and everyone is welcome to play (so long as they haven't played more than a couple of MP games before), so if you are interested find the thread in the MP forum and sign up.

Edit: LeafNosedBat has filled quickly, so I've created an overflow game called VesperBat.

Well I've never played a MP game of this at all, but it sounds like fun. How does one sign up?

How long does an average MP game last?

The length of time depends on the size so it's hard to answer that question.

We're talking weeks and months with a pbm game though.

To sign up just find the "Peccary" thread in the multiplayer section and make a post there saying what nation you'd like. Please do!

The PBEM schedule might be slow at first, but once you're out of the early phase diplomacy alone can take more than an hour, and they you have to play the actual turn, and while you're waiting for the turn to come you can't help but think ahead for several turns, and then something goes wrong and you have to think everything again. It's quite fun.
