Had some blessed D10 Daoine Sidhe that tossed their javalines at a bunch of Barbarians.

1. Are the Javalins enchanted with death magic as some would not consider them melee weapons? They seemed to be as the Barbara Anns picked up afflictions.

I was surprise to see some of the Barbarians had pre-battle horror marks in their ranks (screen shot attachment after battle started). Is that typical?

1. The death bless works on any damage dealt by the blessed target. This includes combat spells, ranged attacks and melee attacks. This only applies to the affliction bonus. The damage bonus only works on melee attacks. It has been speculated that the affliction chance works on ritual province targeting spells as well, but I don't see how this is possible unless the prophet is casting the spell, or maybe through the shroud of the battle saint.

In response to your question about the horror marked barbarians, it is not common but can happen. It could be the result of another player's or AI nations actions, or through a random event of some sort possibly.

There are also some sites that can cause horror-marking. If the barbarians started in a probince with that site, they could have been marked.

I didn't know that those sites also affect indies. That's awesome.

Same is true with disease magic sites... the Independents will slowly die unless they're undead.

It would be nice if magic sites had more variety such as:


Enter magic site to add +1 strength or other similiar attribute... works once a year.

Enter magic site to add +10% cold resistance or other elemental resistance... works once a year.

Enter magic site to sacrifice 2 Water and 2 Nature gems and rewind your age by 3 years.... works once a year.

Enter magic site to permanently add 2_hitpoints for a commander or mage... works once a year.

Enter arena magic site to challenge a random creature to win a random magic item... works once a year.

The two training sites (Academy of War, Ancient Master) add to units Exp, which slowly increases their Exp-related stats.

The two adventure sites (City of the Damned, Forgotten City) have random creatures, traps, and a chance to win a magic item and/or gold.

What we need is site modding http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif. Then you could add more training and adventures sites if you want.
