Thoughts on how a ruling against Gen Con would affect them? Would the future of Gen Con be in jeopardy, or is a million to them just a drop in the bucket? And even if the money wasn't an issue, would the negative press impact anyone? If true, it seems a little skeevy stealing money from charity, but then again most cons seem to be run by less-than-reputable individuals anyway.

You can't get much lower than stealing from Make-A-Wish (http://www.wish.org/).

I have to concur with Annette.

I hope the case is expedited, and doesn't drag on.

And hot on the heels of Lucas suing Gen Con comes news that they just filed for bankruptcy...

http://gencon.com/2008/corporate/news-pr/releases/2008/2008.02.15.Press.aspx

"Gen Con LLC announced today that it has filed for Chapter 11 protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the State of Washington. This action became necessary as a result of significant unforeseen expenses associated with attempts to expand its core business to encompass externally licensed events."

Like, oh, defending against a lawsuit from a guy who has more money than God?
