I own a copy of the original Armies of Armageddon (which eventually became The War Engine) that Boku use to sell online at battlefront.com and am looking for someone who has a copy of The War Engine they would be willing to trade for or sell me via gametz.com since it is now out of print.

As a gamer now securely in my 30's I find fewer and fewer of the mainstream games of interest and a good niche game is still hard to find. I wish all the games in the shrapnel out of print catalog were still available for digital purchase/download or even better open sourced (where possible) but in the interim if anyone has a copy they are willing to part with please contact me. Thanks.

For anyone else whom might be interested Michael Cooney and Boku are now partnered with Matrix and The War Engine is going to be released as a free download "soon" I'm assuming in conjunction with a new project they are working on. WDK2K was always a great PBEM game and if anyone would like play a game or two once it is re-released email me and let me know.

Looks like Gamershell (http://www.gamershell.com/)is the place to go for your free download of The War Engine http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Oh cool, thanks. I enjoyed Armies of Armageddon and was intrigued by The War Engine but never took the plunge. Now I can add it to my growing "try eventually" pile.
