It's the CAPS LOCK, stupid

I was fumbling around with my keyboard and couldn't get "m" to come up. I figured the program had hiccuped, because the mouse interface and the arrows were working fine. Dropped out of the game and came back in... Still not working... What am I doing wrong?

CAPS got turned on, voila, when hit again, the keys magically work! Amazing! Stupendous!
