I have been reading this site:
http://www.inert-ord.net/index.html
And I think it is wery well made and has lots of informative stuff about ww2 grenades and munitions.

I have no problems whit how the game models knee mortars (and I do not wish to continue that locked Japanes oob thread), but since DRG was wondering about the grenade type 89 i believe it is this one:
http://www.inert-ord.net/jap02h/knee/index.html
The other (older) grenade that could be launched was this one:

I knew about the inert-ord websites and had looked at it in the past. It's a fantastic resource for collectors or anyone needing exact details of stampings or where the colour bands were painted or how the munitions were put together. Unfortunately there isn't alot of info on what the munitions could do when they were filled with explosives as that's not it's purpose otherwise it's a great website.
