Israel reportedly has "BRDM-2's converted into an ATGM launcher vehicle with it's turret replaced by a pintle mount for TOW-type ATGM launcher."
Anybody have any idea when these BRDM-2's were "acquired"?

Is this something they're using or an export thing? The Israelis have produced a number of these types of things for the export market. Beyond that, I would think the last good opportunity to have captured any would've been during their time in Lebanon, but that doesn't give anything approaching a fixed date. Sry for not really providing an answer, you've just got me curious as to these vehicles now.

I hate quoting Wkipedia but.....

there's a photo as well. This thing shows up in the game in the Bosnian OOB as "BRDM-2 TOW" It may very well be an export item to nations already using the BRDM

Don,
Actually that isn't Israeli at all. That photo is from Fort Irwin CA. I know this because if you look closely it has the MILES II Laser Warfare suite on it. The yellow whoopie light is very apparent as well as the sensors velcroed to the vehicle. I also know this because I used to fight next those while I was stationed at Fort Irwin for four years. So Wikipedia strikes again. Wrong caption.
