I think because it would generally be a waste of time to use your pretender seducing the enemy army one at a time

Not if your god was a super seducer.
And we have an assassin god. Its the same thing, really.

Sounds good to me! I don't think it would be overpowered, since Aezeal says, most people would consider it a waste of time.
It would be thematic for a lot of the Greek-style pretenders. And more people might actually use the Great White Bull as their god!
I'd like to see it on:
Lord of Fertility
Great White Bull
Lady of Love
Lord of Rebirth
Allfather
Son of the Sea
Lord of the Wild
Void Lord
maybe the Titans
Phoenix
(Okay, Phoenix is a joke.)

It's fairly useless on males, honestly. So few female commanders...
And Void lord should probably get belial's corruption or something similar instead.

Vfb no offence but have you actually thought about that list or just randomly picked some pretenders?

Offense taken http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
I put the Void Lord in because of the "get impregnated by a Great One" theme for Rlyeh.
I didn't spend a huge amount of time thinking about it, but the rest are also what I thought to be thematic. Aezeal, is there something on the list that you think is unthematic? Or something missing? Or is it the impracticality of male seducers? What do you want added, the Great Mother and the Gorgon? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Allfather, Titans, son of the sea and even the great white bull wouldn't be on my list

Zeus once took the form of a white bull and seduced a king's daughter. The offspring was none other than the famous Minotaur. Actually, pretty much all of the Greek Gods do the Seduction thing on a regular basis. Thats probably where vfb is getting his suggestions.

The Minos and Europa myths of Greece provide plenty of justification for the Bull being in the list. It was the first one I thought of when I saw K's post!
Poseidon fathered about 50 heroes in Greek mythology, so that's why I put the Son of the Sea on the list.
I'm pretty sure the Titans were at least as active sexually as the Olympians. Though I don't know if there were any "head to Earth and seduce the ladies" stories.
I added Odin (Allfather) because he wasn't any slouch in the bedroom either. Something like 20 sons, right?

I'm active sexually.. I'd not consider myself a seducer though.
Al lot of -for example- reformed christian housefathers have reproduced 5-10 times without being seducers http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

That doesn't count. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Come on, read the myths. Or the Cliff Notes. Those gods were not "reformed christian housefathers".

Zeus seduced at least one boy as well. Gaynemede, which as I recall is the word root of catamite as well. So the titans could use the more indiscrimate corruption, targeting both sexes. And all the lovecrafty pretenders could take their cue from Shadow over Innsmouth, the Dunwich Horror and other stories. Dagon is shown to be a virile old man in the movie Dagon as well.

Are you sure? Have you heard of Leda and the swan? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Even more fun, imagine if your uberlover God had a chance to spawn little demigod thugs every 9 months after a seducation?

I refuse to drag this any more off-topic than I already have. Sorry K! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
One thing that I totally forgot about was that seduction requires stealth in Dom3. Doh. So a lot of the pretenders I initially listed won't work.

Problem with being seduced by a god is that it tends to attract the ire of a goddess -- and boy, could they be vindictive... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

If it's in theme I don't consider the lack of stealth a show stopper, although only being useful while besieged doesn't seem very Zeus-like. Perhaps Circe and Dido are closer.
