small question only needing small answer

Does range 100 mean I can hit something all the way in the back from the enemies deployment zone from the back of my deployment zone?

If not how long would that range be then?

I haven't counted the squares on the battlefield, but I'm pretty sure that's the case.

Turn on the grid and look out for the little info line that says which field the curser hoovers over .. easier than to count all the little patches ;-)

Arralen, I need debug on to see the grid co-ordinates displayed in the battle. Is there some way to display that info without enabling -d?

The battlefield increases in size with larger armies. I had a look at an old battle (1000 versus 6000 units), and the battlefield was size 114x84. The rearmost unit in the large army was at grid (112,36). So, if you have very large armies, it's possible that a unit may be more than 100 squares away.

Also, I don't know if actual distance matters, or just one axis. Can a unit with range 25 in (1,1) hit an enemy unit in (25,25)?

And, I don't know if spells with range 100 are limited to a distance of 100, or if 100 is a special number that means unlimited range.

Pressing G or W in battle should do the trick.

G gives the grid, and W gets rid of the scenery, but I don't get grid co-ordinate numbers displayed unless I turn debug on. Weird.
