Another one bites the dust. Games for Windows (formerly Computer Gaming World ) is no more. The editors will be working full-time for 1UP. What does that leave us in the US now, just PC Gamer ?

I pray for the day PC Gamer finally just dies I have been a subscriber for many many years and I have been watching a good magazine slowly decline into [censored] over the past one or 2. It will be my last subscription cycle in any case.

Actually GFW was Computer Gaming World. Computer Games Magazine was a different one, that was the one screwed over by the Globe (?).

Whoops! Thanks for the correction, Scott. I've corrected my original post. I never could keep the names straight. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

I recall having a subscription to them... they wouldn't let me cancel it....(both of them)
I don't like magazines much anymore, too much adds and dead trees and such. Most of the info and reviews are available ver the interblag anyway, one way or another....
