View Full Version : Paralyze always targets commanders first?

In a game I am currently in, a player had his mages scripted to spam paralyze.

During the fight, the casters spammed paralyze on my commanders but never my normal troops.

All units were size 3 including the commanders. Does the spell give priority to commanders? There were too many units on the field to attribute it to luck. The spell was cast over a dozen times and every time my commanders were targeted. Could it have possibly been due to hit points?

Thanks!

Some spells target highest-hp units first. Paralyze could be one of them.

Soul Slay, Paralyze and many of the damaging spells tend to prioritize high HP units like elephants or giants before low HP mages.

Yes paralyze targets high HP first in my experience. I a MP game I play as MA atlantis now I managed to counter my enemies spamming of paralyze/soul slay/etc... with scattering some elephants around. Not one of my thugs have been targeted since, the elephants are targeted over and over even after being paralyzed. Should work with any high HP unit.

Aye I went back and checked. I have the misfortune of playing a nation where the sissy spell casters have more hit points than the guys swinging the swords. I will take the appropriate steps to protect them http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif.
