Bug ? Disease not killing

My prophet went and got a disease. Not sure if it was a site or battle. Anyway he lost maybe 1 HP and has been sitting at 37 for 7 or 8 turns and has not gotten any more injuries. I was wondering if it was was a bug or because he has a regen of 4 hp from his bless.

Any way, he is the Shambler chief in "The Mirks".

Regeneration, of course. It's even given as a way to rescue old commanders, in Tien Chi strategy thread iirc.

What Wrana means is that if your Pretender's nature magic grants a bless, you
can forge Shrouds of the Battle Saint, and give them to your diseased commanders.
The regeneration will keep them alive, and they will get only 1/13th of the
additional afflictions they would get otherwise.

You can achieve the same effect with a ring of regeneration, hydra skin, etc...
but those are a bit more costly and harder to forge.
