SP game. Something started spreading disease in my lands. I sent out a fair number of forces trying to find the stealthy unit. I never caught anything but it suddenly stopped--two provinces from the edge of my domain, whatever it was didn't leave and I didn't kill it.

Also, same game, I caught an black-heart made assassin with my PD but there was a priest there repairing an earthquake-destroyed temple. The priest didn't get the heart, my inventory didn't get the heart.

And doesn't the AI know how to build temples? I was trying to dominion-kill Oceania. I've forced my dominion over one branch of their empire--and then it started spreading like crazy beyond it. So far I see less than 10% of provinces with temples in the empire beyond! In places my dominion penetrates more than a dozen layers, yet against the part of the world I really want it I have only two layers of penetration.

(Not only that, but it's *NOT* benign--I've got Wrath of God up, killing over 500 units/turn.)

Doesn't bane venom charm give the carrier disease? Probably died from that. Or it could be a flier.

Magic items aren't always picked up by the winner.

And no, the AI sucks, play MP. Plus temples are generally an awful buy if you're not using them for sacred recruitment (generally mages). All that cash into troops is gonna be more useful than the dominion spread (unless you can blood sac too, that can be a viable strategy in a very very small amount of cases.)

A Markata Scout with a bane venom charm would be very damned hard or outright impossible to find.

MA C'tis has a disease dominion... another possibility.

The way your dominion spreads depends on the strength of your enemies dominion as well.

Or a Harvester of Sorrows. Stealth 25, not easy to catch, very mobile

This was *ONE* unit moving around. Every province involved was 10 candles for me, it's not enemy dominion.

Okay, a scout with a bane venom charm, which eventually died of disease.
