Hello, fellas.
After a short period of playing, I noticed that the game (probably) doesn't include battle weariness to the soldiers fighting in a harsh condition of weather. Example, if we play in a desert, or in a bitter Russian winter, or maybe in the steamy forest of Southeast Asia, then the soldiers' (and some equipments) fighting efficiency should be decreased. Is this feature existed in the game (coz I'm newbie and knew nothing but playing simple scenarios)?

One more question: Just the same, but, on the water area, i.e strong current and high tide for assault battle? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Keep in mind that SPWW2 typically simulates a battle that lasts only about an hour.

I recently finished a battle in the snow. The men and vehicles trudged at about half the speed they normally do in summer. I had to completely change my strategy and tactics; roads became really important, I had to be careful not to drive my vehicles into snow drifts, and it was harder for infantry to get armoured support.

I think visibility is modelled in the game quite well.

But what is it that you'd like to see in the game that it doesn't have?

As for water, I know there's shallow and deep water. Stay away from the deep unless in a boat ;-)
I just had a tank get stuck in a river while crossing at a ford. Doesn't happen often, but moving fast over fords, rough ground, mud can cause breakdowns etc.
You can adjust maps to put the tide anywhere you like.

If you wish to simulate weary troopers, you might lower Infantry Toughness and Rally rating in Preferences.

Both the answers satisfied me, thanks!!!
I think I should not be worried about the-very-detail of warfare, right?

I found in the post something called "flare effect". What's this? Does it mean there any flare device used in the game to improve vision at night?

Nope! It is part of the rationalization and justification of the proposed values of the parameters included in the text.
