So what happen if I GoR him? If he retains his immortality and is killed where does he go (and in which dominion)?

Yes, he does remain immortal. He will reappear in your capital. He is just like
a real prophet, without the priest levels. That is, he increases your dominion.
I do not know how his life/death affects making new prophets.
