View Full Version : Unimpressive earthquake?

I tried an Earthquake and it was not that impressive. Lots of less than 8 damage, even though I thought it was armour negating. Three gems for not many dead. Also, the enemy cavalry seemed untouched. I thought everyone was supposed to get hit, but many units clearly dodged it. No one was BE or Mistform.

Any thoughts on this spell?

Thanks!

Manual says it's AP not AN and there is a defence check. It works good against large groups of mages and priests.

Earthquake is awesome against big chaff armies. Throw one or two and your opponent will flee in terror. I had fun utilizing it against big archer armies from Shinuyama, or Yomi etc.

I love earthquake. 2 earthquake routs almost every conventional army. mix it with a rain of stones or two if you can.

Getting rid of that annoying high defence stat is the key.

Ergo, combine with Darkness if you can.

Ah, so against a large Ulmish army, I should not be surprised at the effect. Fair enough, thanks for pointing that out. I will modify my efforts.
