avatar not working properly

i'm trying to upload a new avatar. however, no matter what pic I upload, it always shows my old avatar. i can select 'no avatar' or use a provided avatar, and it works fine. but whenever i try to upload one, it just shows my old one.

help?

well, i fixed it by uploading image to an image hosting service and using a URL.

not sure why can't upload from my harddrive. i even deleted teh old image from my hardrive, but the website keeps using it.

I think the Shrapnel site doesn't exactly store your image - it just stores the address, so it needs to be an address anyone can get to from the web, not a local hard drive address.
